The official start of my class blog! (hope I don't rant *too* much). This week's class started with instructions lead by our charming teacher, Mr. Sameer, through a crane game (which I found pretty amusing lol). An hour goes by where I learn a little about my classmates whose names I don't recall at all (eh... sorry? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) and then we move on to the first activity where we highlight the branches of the SFIA framework we can relate to.

Strategy and architecture
-Technical strategy and planning
Solution development and implementation
-Human factors
, Are the ones I found particularly interesting
Sir then began explaining to us what 'Media Literacy' is, and though the definition's still very ambiguous to me 0_0 , I think I got the gist of it (probably... hopefully) and we finally moved on to the part I had a lot of fun doing, editing :D .
Activity #2 had us experimenting on Sir's dog (no. not like that.). We were tasked to edit the image using Photopea or Adobe photoshop, messing around with the colour (or color for the grammar Nazis out there) balance and trying out filters. My end result:

I tried going for a green tone resembling the movie Fallen Angels by Wong Kar Wai and added some film grain and depth of field to make it look more cinematic (please pretend that entire last sentence wasn't pretentious at all ;_;)
At the last length of the editing activity, we were asked to edit eye colours. I chose to change up Robert Pattinson's (one of the best/underrated actors of our time (^O^)/) eyes to purple in a headshot I found on Google images;

Editing these images segued to a discussion on copyright, where we were taught that no matter what form of hoodwink/bamboozle/trickery we do to an image, as long as we aren't the source of the image, we hold no rights over the image without permission from the original owner.
The next topic dealt with pixels. Pixels are represented by a RGB value and we used the eye dropper tool in Photopea to measure the exact value of the Reds, Greens and Blues in a certain part of the image and were told the maximum RGB value is 255.
This lead to talking about light basics of Binary and simple conversions to decimals.
We concludes the lesson with an assignment tasking us with answering the questions in Activity #4 (welcome to the present... or the past depending on when this is being read)
